Rebuild of Seabex One. (English)

I have had a Seabex One for some time now.

Made all the internal installations and made some testruns.

At that time I was very unhappy with the noise from the SPPS thrusters (schotteldrives), so I kind of lost the motivation for this model.

I would think that this was in the year 2007.

 

Well my wife gave birth to our 2nd son at that time. Maby that has some thing to do with it too

 

Anyway... Now I got some motivation and time again.

I had some help and inspiration from Joachim C. that made me realize that I have to rebuild my Seabex One.

 

Please do not post comments in this thread. I will make a new thread for comments.

 

This will be a long time project...

There's so many things to put in this model, so it will take some time and euros

I want to replace the gear system with timed belt pulleys.

So I have to disassemble the scotteldrives...

 

If you are not planning to do this, it could be a good idea to take it apart to get an understanding, of how it works.

 

Take great care not to loose the small pins in shafts. You can see 2 of them on the picture.
