I have a Graupner MC19 and is going to switch from 40 mhz to 2.4 ghz,.

I am looking at the Jeti Duplex system.

Does any one know, if the multi function modules, and sound modules, with sellectable sounds will work with Jeti Duplex installed ?

I have heard, that Futaba should have problems with this...

Hi Sune,

I have now knowledge about kompatiblity of Graupners Multi Switch modules with the Jeti system, but the module from Modellbau City works with 2.4 GHz from Jeti.

Is a soundmodule really directly coneccted to the receiver for additional sound? Are these sounds not connected via multi module to the receiver?

Hello,

The chance is big that it will work OK, but it will take some time with the settings in the Yeti-Receiver !

Most important thing is the timing and the max-,min and center-Position.

I have the same configuration with my MC-19 and it works great.

It's working with a Beier USM-RC sound/light module :)

I operate this now with a Graupner Multi-Switch Decoder.

I must say... I didn't test it well, so I can't promise the functionality !

If you order this setup, please take the Yeti-Box also !

This is important to change all settings in the receiver.

If you have some questions, please let it now...;)

Edit:

I didn't test this with a Graupner Encoder !

I don't now what you want to use... is it only for Multi-Switch functions ?

Ore Sound and Multi-Switch ?

For the first option I will suggest the set from ModellbauCity... (see link from Andreas)

For the second option, please take a look to the USM-RC from Beier-Elektronik --> http://www.beier-electronic.de/modellbau/produkte/usm-rc/usm-rc.php

The good thing about the USM-RC, it's eayer to let it work...

Because all the info can be monitored on your PC/Laptop !

Yes work like a multifunction module. Instead of relay outputs, the have diferent sounds. Some has output for functions also...

My plan is graupners nautic expert... Robbe multi decoder should work to.

Then some thing similar to graupners soundmodule 2382.S

That should have some outputs for switching things on. So a multifunction decoder is not needed...

I will look at your links... :)

Seems like the USM-RC module looks like a winner.

Beier-Elektronik seems to have a great product for lights and more...

Thanks for some very good links :D

You Welcome ;)

And yeah... graupners soundmodule 2382.S is the same module like the USM-RC...

Only it gets a different name and it's more expensive :)

Good luck with your new setup...

BTW...

If it is possible in your transceiver...

Please leave the 40Mhz inside !

When there are problems with the 2.4Ghz, you can always switch back to the 40Mhz.

On the Yeti-tranceiver module, it's easy done by a Jumper.

Edit:

Here a video from my USM-RC test-setup:

It's a great module to have...:)

I want to get the jeti mini box to. But it seems out of stock, untill some time in august.

How many steps do the USM-RC module have for the engine sound ?

Does it follow the acceleration in a smooth curve ?

I tried to listen to your fine youtube video...

Hello,

I always order it here: https://www.electricwingman.com/jeti-duplex-tu-2,4ghz-transmitter-module.aspx

They are not expensive and they deliver fast.

I see that the Mini-Box there also is out of stock... think Yeti did get a big order last time...

About the USM-RC:

The acceleration is 1/1 with your ESC ore motor.

I have made my own ESC, with some special effects.

That's why it sounds smooth with his acceleration.

There are two options to read your motorspeed...

The first one is a parallel connection with your ESC.

And the second one is a connection on one of the analog inputs.

I'm using the last option in my setup.

In the configuration I use the Mixbetrieb:

I now about the digital and analog way in the module... Read the manual from Graupners homepage...

I think I'm falling in love with soundmodule... Don't tell my wife :D

::EDIT::

Prize at my local danish shop is about 100€ for tu2 module...

I can get some discount so it would be about the same.... But usually I shop in Germany by webshops...

Normaly it is more prizey in Denmark

::EDIT2::

I can see, that the prize for Jeti Duplex is the same... Here in Denmark

:lovl::that:

One positive thing about a soundmodule... you can switch it off, if you don't want to listen...:fies:

This will be a harder job, to make this possible by a wife

One could try to upgrade wife to ver. 2.1 maby ??:D

Does some one know the transmitter effect limit for 2.4 ghz ?

I would think it is 100 mw (20 dbm)

Hi Sune!

This modul is for digital model railways! Not for RC ;)

Arh.... Then it makes sence, that it did not make any sence...

I was a little confused :)

Or a little bit more? ;)

I'm not in to model railroads at all..

So those terms were a bit strange, if it had to relate to RC :)

So yeah... A little confused was an understatement :)

No problem!

Before I started to build model boats, my passion had been model railways ;)

Please, don't hesitate asking here in such cases of problems. That's the reason we are her for! 8)

Thank you :) I might do that

All this is for a Seabex1...

I'm sure I will run in to a little problem or two :)

Maby you have seen this product before ?

Does not look like it's home made...

Take a look to this youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MaerskTrader

He is a user from that very nice system.

It's made by one person how has a "hobby" Electronics :) (just like me)

The PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are probably made/ordered by a professional company.

(ore he has a good workplace)

I also made some PCB's for my models and order them in China... http://www.makepcb.com

Those pictures takes my breath away...

And they are scratch build :D

I'm ordering Jeti Duplex to day... I would have it tuesday then...

I'm going to get the nauticMC module from Modellbau City to.

The one with 8 switch and 4 proportionals. I think that would make my MC19 a nice transmitter :)

Have to wait the nauticMC though... They have 3 weeks "urlaub" :)

Guest MdG-RC

I can tell you one thing about the nauticMC from modellbau-city...

It's working with the USM-RC, but it's only working with the 8 switches !

I did ask modellbau-city and Beier why they are not working with all switches...

The main thing was a new software for the nauticMC and modellbau-city don't care about that :(

Now I get a TR24 module without any function...

For the USM-RC I'm using now the nautic-module from Graupner.

Guest Sune Nielsen

Yes the 4 proportional controllers does not work... But the USM-RC does not have any proportional output anyway,... Am I right ?

Or have I got you wrong ?

Link to comment
Guest MdG-RC

Yes you are right about that :)

The message was more to let you now about that problem...

In the beginning (with the old software in the nauticMC) all switches where working fine (including the proportionals).

OK the proportionals where only functional like a switch...

Full to left is channel-X on/off and full to right is channel-Y on/off.

For this reason I bought one TR24... and during my test it was not working anymore :(

But 16 switch channels most be enough to start :)
