Ah ok, wenn es um die grobe Voreinschätzung geht ("kann das stimmen oder nicht"), bin ich voll bei dir. Das finde ich auch wichtig und mache es genauso: erst mal gucken, in welcher Dimension man sich überhaupt bewegt.

 

Das Hauptproblem ist für uns Metriker m.E. jedoch das "Gefühl" für Fuß/Inch-Maße (ich habe da erstmal so garkeine spontane Idee, wieviel z.B. 11'-5" sind) - ich muss trotzdem erstmal metrisch umrechnen.

 

Stimmt, (11*12+5)+4,88 im Kopf umzurechnen fällt mir auch schwer...:bäh:

 

Da kannst Du aber ganz beruhigt sein, die Imperialisten (von den Imperial Maßen) haben mit dem metrischen System die selben Schwierigkeiten.
