Der schwedische Schiffbauer Fredrik Henrik af Chapman veröffentliche 1768 in Stockholm die Zeichnungen von zahlreichen Schiffen in seinem Buch "Architectura Navalis Mercatoria". Es enthält 62 Tafeln ("Plates") und theoretische Überlegungen aus jener Zeit.
